Our History

In 1955, Mr. Alejandro Santecchia, our Father, embarked on the journey to build mines and a small grinding process plant, creating GEOANDINA MINERALES. Through a mixed format of work, effort, dedication, and responsibility.

Those of us honored to lead this company today find ourselves among the most solid and efficient grinding companies in the regional market.

Twenty years since its inception, this second generation can proudly say that today we have a new GEOANDINA, which has made qualitative and quantitative leaps. Supported by the profitability obtained from the Industrial and Oil markets, we have significantly increased investment, weathered Argentina’s political and economic crises, increased production, and resolved issues of unqualified Human Resources by investing in our people. Thus, we are adding value to a strategic resource for the Mining, Industrial, and Oil sectors of Argentina in the coming years.

We produce industrial minerals in various particle sizes, and our deposits are located in San Juan and Mendoza. This allows us to provide the quality demanded by different customers and consumer sectors.

  • Our Plant has 5 grinding units and a heat treatment furnace up to 700 degrees. The plant is designed with inline grinding process, and we obtain fine powders up to 400 mesh. We can package in 25 kg bags or Big Bags up to 1500 kg, using palletizers and screw baggers.

We measure our impacts with a continuous monitoring plan, continuously improving and incorporating the best available practices in our industry in favor of pollution prevention. We encourage environmental commitment among our employees in their management through training and awareness. Our Plant and mines have the corresponding Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), being updated according to the legislation of the competent regulatory bodies.
Geoandina, with mining producer registration number 359 from the Provincial Mining Directorate (DPM), is registered under number 2020-24/A/I. At the national level, it is registered under Law 24.196 of the Mining Investment regime. Additionally, it is a member of CaMEM (Mendoza Chamber of Mining Entrepreneurs), and our minerals for animal nutrition are duly registered with SENASA (National Health and Agri-Food Quality Service).
